Just like any of you, I tried the following things, but none of them helped
Put them in the case and took them back out Disconnect and reconnect Reset and re-pair Restart Macbook
In addition to this, I tried connecting my Airpods with my iPhone Xs Max and Note 9, and it was working fine with both. This means the problem was with my Macbook and not with the Airpods.
Airpods Not Working Properly With Mac
After trying out everything, I got to chat with Apple’s customer support and surprisingly, they were able to fix this problem by tweaking the macOS sound setting. Here’s how. Make sure your Airpods are connected to your Macbook. Then go to System Preference > Sound > Under the output tab, select the Airpods and make sure the slider under the ‘Settings for the selected device’ is set in the middle. Once I did that, the audio was back to normal. Loud and clear.
Overall, as wonderful and convenient as they are, I’ve often encountered connecting issues when I pair my Airpods with multiple devices. To be fair, they are not meant to be used in this way. And even with all of those frustrations, I still can’t live without my AirPods. Let me know if this trick solved your problem in the comments.
